LUXURY RESORT RESIDENCES

The Space and Privacy
of a Private Home.
The Service of a Luxury Resort.

Privacy, space and flexibility—with five-star resort service and amenities at your fingertips.

Want the privacy of a villa without giving up the amenities and service of a five-star resort?

A luxury resort residence may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Resort residences combine many of the things travelers love about private villas—privacy, spacious living areas, full kitchens, beautiful outdoor spaces and, in some cases, private pools—with access to the services and amenities of an established luxury resort.

And you don’t need to be traveling with a large group to enjoy one.

For couples, a one- or two-bedroom resort residence can provide an entirely different experience from a traditional hotel room or suite. Imagine having your own private pool and terrace, a beautiful living space, breakfast in your residence and complete privacy during the day—while still being able to walk over to the resort for dinner, book a spa treatment, spend an afternoon at the beach club or call the concierge when you need something.

It’s privacy without isolation—and luxury without compromise.

UNDERSTANDING THE CATEGORY

What Is a Luxury
Resort Residence?

You may have seen them called private residences, resort residences, branded residences, villas, homes, estates or residential suites.

The terminology varies considerably from one resort to another.

What matters more is the experience.

A resort residence is typically a privately styled, multi-bedroom accommodation located within—or affiliated with—a luxury resort or resort community.

Instead of several separate hotel rooms, your group may have:

Multiple private bedrooms and bathrooms
A full kitchen
Large living and dining areas
Private terraces or outdoor spaces
Private or semi-private pools
Laundry facilities
Separate entrances
Residential-style privacy

Think private home meets five-star hotel.

WHO IT’S FOR

Who Are Luxury Resort
Residences Best For?

01

Couples Who Value Privacy

You don’t need six bedrooms to appreciate residential-style travel. A smaller resort residence can offer true privacy and space while still having a five-star resort at your fingertips.

02

Multigenerational Families

Grandparents, adult children and grandchildren can stay together without giving up privacy. Shared living spaces create a natural place to gather, while separate bedrooms and bathrooms give everyone room to retreat.

03

Families With Children

Kitchens, laundry, separate bedrooms, private outdoor space and access to children’s programming can make family travel considerably easier—without sacrificing the luxury experience for the adults.

04

Two or Three Families Traveling Together

Everyone can share the common spaces while retaining private bedrooms and bathrooms, creating the feeling of vacationing together rather than simply occupying rooms at the same hotel.

05

Milestone Celebrations

Birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and other celebrations feel more intimate when everyone has a beautiful central place to gather.

06

Groups With Different Interests

One person wants golf. Someone wants the spa. Someone wants the beach. Someone else wants absolutely nothing on the agenda. A resort gives everyone options.

07

Travelers New to Villas

If you’re intrigued by villa travel but aren’t ready to give up the familiarity, service and infrastructure of a luxury resort, a residence can be an ideal introduction.

WHAT MAY BE INCLUDED

Without Giving Up Your Space.

Spa & Wellness

Access may include the resort spa, fitness center, wellness programming, yoga or other activities.

Some residences provide access to resort beaches, pools and beach clubs, while others may have dedicated residential facilities.

Golf & Recreation

Children’s Programming

Families may be able to use resort kids’ clubs and organized activities while still having the space and convenience of a private residence.

Housekeeping & Concierge

Many residences include housekeeping and concierge support, although the frequency and level of service vary.

Transportation

Golf carts, resort shuttles, private transfers or dedicated drivers may be available depending on the property.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE

Not Every Resort Residence Includes the Same Resort Access.

This is one of the most important things to understand before booking. Being located inside a luxury resort does not automatically mean you receive access to everything at that resort.

Access can depend on who owns or manages the residence, how the reservation is booked, the specific residence category, resort policies, included services, membership privileges and seasonal restrictions.

That’s something I want to know before you fall in love with the property.

KNOWING THE DIFFERENCE

Resort Residence vs.
Private Villa

There isn’t always a clean line between the two. But generally, I think of it this way:

Choose a Private Villa When…

  • You want maximum privacy and independence.
  • You love the idea of having a dedicated villa staff.
  • You want a private chef preparing meals at home.
  • You’re happy with your own pool rather than a large resort pool.
  • You don’t need a long list of resort facilities.
  • Your priority is having an exceptional private property that feels completely your own.

For many multigenerational families, the resort residence wins because it solves multiple vacation styles at once.

THE SERVICE QUESTION

What About
Service?

Resort residences can offer very different service models.

Some operate almost exactly like luxury hotel accommodations, with daily housekeeping, room service, concierge assistance and resort staff available throughout the stay.

Others function more like privately managed villas within a resort community.

And some offer additional services—such as private chefs, butlers, grocery provisioning, childcare or private transportation—for an additional charge.

There is no universal definition.

That’s why I don’t simply ask, “Does this residence have service?”

I want to know: What service? How often? Provided by whom? What’s included? What’s additional?

MY APPROACH

What I Look for in a
Resort Residence

When I evaluate a resort residence for my clients, I’m looking at two separate things: The home itself—and the experience surrounding it.

Location within the resort
Bedroom configuration
Private amenities
Resort privileges
Service level
Dining flexibility
Family amenities
Transportation
Management
Overall value

HOW JENNIFER FINDS THEM

I Start With
How You Want to Travel.

I source luxury resort residences through established hospitality relationships, luxury resort partners, villa companies, destination specialists and professionally managed residential portfolios.

But I don’t start by showing you properties. I start by understanding your group.

Who is traveling?
How many bedrooms do you actually need?
Are there children?
Do you want everyone under one roof?
How important is privacy?
Do you want a private pool?
Will you use the resort restaurants?
Is golf important?
Do you need children’s programming?
Would you like a private chef?
How much service do you want?
What does everyone in the group need to have a great vacation?

Once I understand that, I can determine whether you should be looking at a traditional private villa, a luxury resort residence—or perhaps a five-star resort.

WHY BOOK THROUGH A SPECIALIST?

You Can Find Beautiful Properties Online.
My Role Is to Help You Understand What You’re Actually Getting.

I can help you compare the residence itself, included services, resort access, location, bedroom configurations, management, amenities and overall fit for your group.

And because I’m not tied to a single property’s inventory, my job isn’t to convince you that one particular residence is right.

My job is to help you find the one that is.

READY TO FIND YOUR RESIDENCE?

Your Own Private World.
With a Five-Star Resort Attached.

Tell me who’s traveling, where you’re considering, your dates, approximate budget and what matters most to your group.

I’ll help you determine whether a private villa, luxury resort residence or five-star resort is the right fit—and then help you find it.
